Bucks and Bulls Guides & Outfitters Inc. is an outfitting/hunting business that has been in business for over 25 years. We hunt 100% private property, in primarily Utah, and conduct fair chase big game hunts for elk, Mule deer, antelope and Shiras moose.
We are currently looking for a limited number of qualified camp cooks. These people can be male or female and between the ages of 22 to 65 years old. You need to be healthy and in good physical condition. This is part time, seasonal work. We are looking for individuals who would enjoy doing this annually for a few years in the months of August, September, October, and November, from two to as many hunts and weeks as one would want. These weeks can be back to back hunts or spread out at your convenience.
Our camps range from nice 8,000 sq. foot lodge, to ranch houses, to rustic cabins, to tent camps. Our kitchen facilities range accordingly. Modern kitchens as nice as they get, to small 4 burner propane stoves combined with small 15” x 18” ovens. You will always have your own sleeping quarters from modern beds with bedding to cot, mattress pads and sleeping bag, depending on the camp. This job seems to work best for housewives looking for additional “Christmas money” or retired folks looking to spend some time in beautiful country with good company for fun or a little extra spending money. Our preference is to have people who want to do this for multiple years.
A camp cook is vital to a good hunting operation. When weather is making for a tough hunt, or the animals are difficult to find and the camp is going poorly at the moment, the one thing that can be right is a camp cook that is providing great food and creating a pleasant atmosphere. You are the heart and soul of a camp.
