All permits are guaranteed - NO DRAWINGS REQUIRED! We have five leases on which we conduct our elk hunts, all of which are managed for high numbers of elk, high bull to cow ratios, and high hunter success. All of our elk hunts are rifle hunts during prime bugling season, as the hunts take place from early September to early October. We have various price ranges, which are based on the average Boone & Crockett score each lease produces; however all of our elk leases are capable of producing bulls over 350. We have experienced over a 90% success rate on all our elk leases for many years, with scores ranging from 250 to 400 Boone & Crockett points. We do have a high percentage of returning clients each year, therefore please contact us early in the year to ensure available openings.
2005 Season Recap
2005 was quite possibly the best year that Bucks & Bulls Inc. has ever had for elk in terms of hunter success and antler growth. We had over a 95 percent success ratio on all of our elk hunts for 2005 with most leases producing 100 percent hunter success. Due to the excellent snow pack in the high country and above average spring rainfall, maximum antler growth seemed to be obtained for all species throughout the West, especially for elk. Our leases produced several bulls scoring over 350 B&C points and 11 bulls scoring over 365 B&C points including a 414" velvet monster. On one of our five elk leases we averaged 370 B&C points on all bulls harvested, and on another lease we averaged just over 350 B&C points. With the amount of precipitation that we have received thus far this winter we expect 2006 to be comparable to 2005.
